The cover image is complete for Den of Maniacs, a new album by Dan Wallace. Inspired by chiaroscuro paintings and imagery from Wallace's lyrics, the album cover was conceived as a dramatized studio portrait of Dan Wallace. Den of Maniacs contains ten songs, and is currently in duplication. It will be available for purchase on March 23rd.

Several additions and changes have been made at vesnaonline.com. Two portfolio pages, fungi and flux, contain new images of mushrooms that were photographed in the Chicago area. A brand new press page has been added, listing a selection of articles and reviews that have been scanned and uploaded for easy accessibility. The website also features a brand new blog that will contain articles on teaching, art, and various other topics that might be of interest.

Visit the solo exhibition of drawings at the Freeark Gallery (part of the Riverside Arts Center in Riverside, IL.) The exhibition features twenty pieces from the Pareidolia series, on display until March 4th, 2010.

An article on the Pareidolia series was published in the February issue of Hektoen International, an online journal of medical humanities published by the Hektoen Institute of Medicine. This cross-disciplinary journal is based out of Chicago, IL, and has a readership of over 30,000 subscribers worldwide.

Timekeeper (self-portrait) was selected for MANIFEST's yearly publication, the International Drawing Annual, published in late Fall 2009. The book features some innovative and unusual contemporary approaches to drawing (as well as essays about drawing), and is available at many major bookstores, including Amazon.com.
